Secondhand Hounds is a Minnesota-based animal rescue nonprofit. According to their website:
“Secondhand Hounds rescues dogs from kill shelters around the Midwest and from owners who can no longer provide care for their dogs. We rescue cats from local shelters and owners who can no longer provide care for their cats.”
Why Secondhand Hounds?
Every year, millions of animals are put to sleep because they fail to be placed in a “forever home.” Secondhand Hounds is working to change that by rescuing animals from kill shelters and either placing them in foster care or adopting them out. Since 2009, they have rescued over 20,000 animals.
